My journey in floristry began 23 years ago at Daisies Flower Shop in Cheadle Hulme.

In April 2025 I was made redundant from Daisies due to the owner retiring.

As I live in Cheadle Hulme, I wanted to stay in the area and decided to open my own flower shop -  Thistle & Fern - inside Snape & Sons Hardware Store on Church Road, Cheadle Hulme (in the showroom behind their main shop).

  Free parking, turn off Church Road between the M&S petrol station and Tangs Restaurant.

For the past three years I have also been teaching an evening leisure course in floral design at Aquinas College — a role I find incredibly rewarding. Over the past two years, I’ve also delivered a variety of workshops, including wreath-making and bouquet design.

At Thistle & Fern, I am passionate about the unique ability of flowers to express emotions and create cherished memories.

I believe in collaborating closely with customers to design floral bouquets and arrangements that are personal and meaningful. 

Together, we can create unique and thoughtful gifts that leave a lasting impression. 

One of my best sellers are my jars of joy, the price includes a vase and flowers. They are an ideal gift:  to cheer someone up, to say thank you, or a treat for yourself. Small are £12, Medium £18.50 and large from £25. Please pop into the shop or phone to order one.
